A dog in Mexico is recovering after getting into an altercation with a bobcat north of Mexico on Tuesday.
According to Audrain County Conservation Agent Norman Steelman, it isn’t common for a bobcat to be that close to a residence.
Steelman reports bobcats are becoming more common in the area, and if one is seen to leave it alone. There are currently no known diseases involving bobcats in Audrain County.
The bobcat’s remains are being sent to the Missouri Department of Conservation Resource Science Division.
