It was a 5-4 win for the Washington Nationals over the Houston Astros in game 1 of the World Series last (Tuesday) night.
The Nats Juan Soto became the 2nd youngest player in baseball history to hit a home run in his first World Series Game, sending a titanic, 417 foot shot over the train tacks in left field at Minute Maid Park, just 3 days before his 21st birthday.
Soto finished the game going 3 for 4, and 3 RBIs.
Game 2 is tonight (Wednesday) as the Series remains in Houston.
It’s a showdown in Sullivan tonight (Wednesday) as the Mexico Lady Bulldogs face the Sullivan Lady Eagles in game one of the high school sectional softball playoffs.
This is a rematch of last year’s semi-final game in the Final Four in Springfield, where Mexico won 3-0 on October 26th.
Mexico and Sullivan played each other again this season at the Capital City Invitational on September 20th where the Lady Eagles won 9-4.
