United State Senator Roy Blunt is working to raise awareness for National Adoption Month that begins today. [Friday]
Blunt has been instrumental in the fight to give every child a permanent home, including the Supporting Adoptive Families Act to provide pre- and post- adoption support services, including mental health treatment.
Nationwide, there are 437,300 children in the foster care system. 125,400 of those are awaiting adoptive families.
