Harrison Butker hit a game winning field goal as time expired.
Veteran quarterback Matt Moore was solid in his second straight start in place of Patrick Mahomes who is sidelined with a dislocated kneecap.
Moore finished completing 25 of 35 for 275 yards passing and one touchdown.
The 6-3 Chiefs hits the road this Sunday, against the 4-5 Tennessee Titans.
In baseball Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon was named the American League Gold Glove winner in left field by Rawlings.
It’s Gordon’s 3rd straight honor and 7th overall.
The 35 year old Gordon, became a free agent on Friday, and the Royals declined his 2020 mutual option for 23 million and instead will buy out the option at 3.5 million.
He has not decided if will play next year.
St. Louis Cardinals 2nd baseman Kolten Wong won his first golden hardware.

The Palmyra Lady Panthers are this years Class 1 district softball champions after defeating Canton 4-1 in the championship on Saturday in Springfield.
Palmyra finishes the season with a 21-5 overall record.
