The Mexico Bulldogs are moving on to play for a district championship after upsetting the number 1 seeded St. Charles West Warriors 28 to 20 on the road tonight (Friday) in high school football playoffs.
Mexico would get down early and go into halftime trailing 14-0.
The Bulldogs would come out of the locker room fired up putting their first points on the board at 8:18 mark in the third quarter off a 10 play, 65 yard drive, capped off by a 1 yard touchdown run by Dante Billups.
St. Charles West would score again and Mexico would trail 20 to 7.
The Dawgs would answer back with 2 minutes and 19 seconds left in the 3rd quarter on another Dante Billups rushing touchdown to make it 20-14.
Mexico would have their first lead of the game in the 4th quarter on a Ty Prince quarterback.
Mexico Bulldogs will be on the road again next week when they play for the Class 3 District 4 Championship against the 2nd seed Lutheran St. Charles.
