Community R-VI Girls Basketball Dominates Marion County

The Community R-VI Girls Basketball Team continued their dominating ways last night with a 71-27 win over Marion County improving their record to 7-1 on the year.
Head Coach Bob Curtis says the Lady Trojans were very solid defensively put a lot of pressure on Marion County and only sent them to the line 4 times in the contest.
We have talked a lot about forcing tempo and creating turnovers without fouling our opponent and putting them on the line to much.
Tonight we did that making Marion play faster than they wanted to and not helping them score by fouling to much.
We connected on 9 three’s by 5 different people in the game vs their zone which is a must for us going forward to have success.
We were also 13-18 from the free-throw line for 72% as a team in the contest which will be critical in Jan. and Feb. with some opponents we have coming up.
You never know what your team is going to look like after a long break but I think we are ready for the home stretch of the season.
