The Community R-VI Lady Trojans defeated the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs 37-27 last (Saturday) night to take first place in the Sturgeon Tournament.
Their last first place finish in the tournament was in 2004 and this marks only their second championship title from the Sturgeon Tournament since 1985.
To get there, they defeated New Bloomfield 69-22 and Salisbury 51-38.
The Lady Trojans are coached by Head Coach Bob Curtis and Assistant Coaches Stacie Carroz and Haley Nobis.
