A Sturgeon man pleads guilty in an Indiana courtroom to charges stemming from a fatal accident last July in Indianapolis.
According to online court records, 57-year old Bruce Pollard was charged with 3 counts of reckless homicide, 7 counts of reckless driving causing bodily injury, and one count of reckless operation of a vehicle in a work zone.
WISH-TV in Indianapolis reports that the accident happened July 14th when Pollard’s semi crashed into stopped traffic, striking six cars and overturning a truck.
A 29-year old mother and her 18-month old twin daughters were killed and seven other people were sent to area hospitals.
Pollard plead guilty but mentally ill and is scheduled to be sentenced March 27th.
