MPSD Report for 3/11

Mexico Public Safety calls & incidents for 3/11:

Just before 5:00 yesterday evening, MPSD officers on patrol in the 1200 block of North Washington saw 26-year old Di’Jon Jennings who was known to have outstanding warrants.  After a short foot pursuit, Jennings was arrested on 5 outstanding Audrain County warrants and resisting arrest.

At 3:15 yesterday afternoon, officers responded to a 2-vehicle non-injury accident at Clark & Vance Road.  A 1996 Mack northbound on Clark driven by 35-year old Dallas Benne of Columbia was turning left onto Vance Road.  48-year old Janilee Russell of Paris, driving a 2008 Ford Fusion, tried to pass the truck on the left.  No injuries were reported.  Russell was arrested on an outstanding Howard County warrant.

In other incidents:

33-year old Joni Smith was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Officers responded to:

Suspicious activity at 609 Yale;

A leaving the scene accident at 828 W. Monroe;

A physical domestic at 515 Woodlawn;

A verbal domestic at 317 Howell Manor Court;

A report of stealing at 4820 South Clark; and,

A suspicious vehicle at 2709 South Clark.
