The NCAA is granting an extra year of eligibility for all spring sport student-athletes.
The Division 1 Council voted on the measure yesterday (Monday) after the athletes had their seasons cut short due to COVID-19.
The NCAA said in a release that financial aid rules have been adjusted, so teams are able to have more scholarships in order to account for incoming freshman and current student-athletes who decide to stay.
The NCAA also decided yesterday that winter student-athletes will not be granted another year of eligibility.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will be taking part in a virtual beer pong tournament this week in an effort to raise money for COVID-19 aid.
Singer, rapper and songwriter Post Malone is hosting the beer pong tournament called the Ballina-Cup.
It will be aired on Instagram Live.
Kelce is listed as one of the 16 participants, other players include Rob Gronkowski and Johnny Manziel.
All proceeds will be donated to COVID-19 aid.
