Mexico School District Closing Down Their Outdoor Facilities

The Mexico School District is closing their outdoor facilities until further notice.

In an email sent out yesterday (Monday) the district says the closure includes school playgrounds and areas where individuals gather for team sports.

The district says the closure is due to safety concerns of patrons and to help mitigate the risk and exposure of COVID-19.

The track at Hawthorne Heights is still open for exercise, however people are being asked to not use the track if you are experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus, follow CDC guidelines on personal hygiene before visiting the track, and observe physical distancing of 6 feet from other people.
