Audrain County Sheriff’s K-9 Drug Arrest

A traffic stop near Martinsburg Friday night leads to two Montgomery City residents being arrested for drug and firearms offenses.

The Audrain County Sheriff’s K-9 unit stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the 15-thousand block of Highway 19 just before 9 Friday night.

During the stop and ensuing investigation, a loaded handgun and baggies containing methamphetamine were seized.

29-year old Jay Lee Hager was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful use of a firearm.

32-year old Amanda Hana Hager was arrested for felony tampering with evidence.

Amanda Hager was released on summons to appear in Audrain County court and Jay Hager posted bond yesterday (Saturday) after charges were filed by the Prosecuting Attorney
