SSM Health System And St. Louis University Trying To Get Retied Nurses Working Back To Work Quickly

SSM Health system along with the Saint Louis University are looking at making it easier for retired nurses to return to caring for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The nursing schools for Saint Louis University and SSM Health system, which operates in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma and Wisconsin are shortening a joint program for returning nurses to patient care from 4 weeks to 2 weeks.

The number of coronavirus related deaths in Missouri rose by 15 on Friday to 185, according to date from Johns Hopkins University.
