The first night of the NFL draft is in the books and the Kansas City Chiefs drafted the first running back by taking Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

He rushed for 1,414 yards and 16 touchdowns as he and LSU won a national title.

The Chiefs have 4 picks remaining in the draft with one in the second, third, fourth and fifth rounds. No Mizzou Tigers heard their names called last night as Albert Okweugbunam, Jordan Elliot and Yasir Durant continue to wait.

The second and third rounds of the draft gets underway today.

Former major league baseball infielder Rich Hacker has died at the age of 72.

Hacker coached for Whitey Herzog’s Cardinals teams from 1986-1990 and then for 2 World Series champion Toronto teams when he was there from 1991-1993.

Hacker suffered complications from cancer and had been in hospice care.
