Two People Rescued After Car Gets Stuck In Water On Flooded Road In Audrain County

2 people are now safe after being rescued from a car that got stuck in water from a flooded roadway in Audrain County.

Little Dixie Fire Chief Bill Albus says his department got the call on Saturday shortly after 3pm about a vehicle stuck in water on Audrain County Road 844.

Mexico Public Safety was called to stand by for use their boat in the rescue however it was not needed.

The Audrain County Sheriff’s Department along with the Missouri Highway Patrol also responded to the incident.

2 people were stuck with one person in the car and the other person out on top of the car.

The man stuck on the outside of the car was thrown a rope by a a Little Dixie Fire Fighter and rescued and the car was then pulled out and no one was injured in the incident.
