An open letter sent out yesterday (Tuesday) from the Van-Far R-1 Schools Superintendent is warning about a possible COVID-19 exposure.
John Fortney said that a person who attended the Van-Far Elementary open house on August 21st, from 6pm-7pm, has tested positive for COVID-19.
Anyone who was in attendance is asked to monitor for symptoms.
This is a copy of the letter from Van-Far Superintendent John Fortney:
We want to inform you that during our Elementary School open house on August 21, 2020 from 6-7 pm, a person was in attendance that has tested positive for COVID-19.
We are in contact with the Audrain County Health Department and remind everyone that if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms to please stay home from school:
○ A fever of 100 degrees or higher.
○ New cough
○ Difficulty breathing
○ Sore throat.
○ Congestions/runny nose
○ Myalgia (body aches)
○ Loss of taste or smell.
