The Mexico Bulldogs girls softball team lost 6-5 to the Centralia Panthers on the road last (Tuesday) night Brooke Teel recorded 2 hits and 2 runs scored.

The Bulldogs fall to 6-3 on the season and are back at tonight for senior night when they face the Booneville Pirates.

Game starts 5pm.

The University of Missouri announced yesterday (Tuesday) that 1,000 student tickets will be available for the opening football game against Alabama on September 26th.

The athletic department said the general admission tickets will be sold on a single-game basis for $20.00.

The first tier of tickets will go to Missouri seniors, starting at 8am until noon on the Monday prior to the game.

The athletic department says that while capacity will be limited, the student section will still make up 10-11% of the seating configuration.

The St. Louis Cardinals with an 18-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers last (Tuesday) night.

Starting pitcher Jack Flaherty allowed a career high 9 runs on 8 hits in just 3 plus innings.

Milwaukee scored 7 runs in the 4th inning and added six more in the 5th.

St. Louis and Milwaukee wrap up their series this afternoon with a double header.

The Kansas City Royals had their six game winning streak come to an end last night with a 6-0 defeat to the Detroit Tigers.
