Boaters Use Caution At Lake of the Ozarks Friday & Saturday

The Lake Of The Ozarks Offshore Powerboat Race takes place Friday and Saturday and as a result, boating traffic will be restricted in the area.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that boating traffic will be restricted to idle speed from the five mile mark to the nine mile mark of the main channel as well as to the one-half mile mark of the Gravois Arm.

Friday’s race takes place from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Saturday’s from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Restrictions will remain in place until 30 minutes after the last race.

Spectator boats are allowed to anchor in areas that don’t restrict the normal flow of traffic.

Those planning to anchor should have enough anchor line for depths of 60 to 100 feet.
