The Mexico Bulldogs will challenge the Hannibal Pirates tonight (Friday) in the Semifinals of the high school football playoffs.

Mexico advanced to this game after defeating the Fulton Hornets 59-42 last week, while Hannibal had a bye week.

The game can be heard on AM 1340 KXEO with the pre-game and interview with Mexico Head Coach Steve Haag starting at 6:45 and kickoff at 7, you can also stream the game on KXEO.com.

#2 North Callaway vs. #3 Montgomery County.

#2 Monroe City vs. #3 Bowling Green.

The winner of these 2 games will play in the Class 2 District 6 championship game.

#1 Lutheran North vs. #5 Wright City.

The winner faces either #2 St. Frances Borgia or #3 Priory in the Class 3 District 3 championship game.

#1 Blair Oaks vs. #5 Boonville.

#2 Centralia vs. #3 Southern Boone.

The winners of these 2 games will play the Class 4 District 3 championship game.

#1 Moberly vs. #4 Kirksville.

The winner of this game will play the winner of #2 Bolivar vs. #3 Warrensburg in the Class 4 District 6 championship game.

The winner will play either #1 Washington or #5 Camdenton in the Class 5 District 4 championship game.

The winner faces either #1 Liberty vs. #4 Blue Springs in the Class 6 District 4 championship game.

Five Mexico High School Cross Country athletes will be competing at the State Championship track meet in Columbia today.

The 5 Bulldogs representing Mexico are Sophomore Thomas Peuster, Senior Tyler Quinlan,Kalea Henneberry, Anna Fairchild, and Sidney Turlington.

St. Louis Blues announcer Chris Kerber is recovering from throat surgery.

Doctors removed a polyp from his throat after the Blues season ended.

The polyp was benign, and after the procedure, Kerber could not talk for ten days.

Kerber says his voice has returned and is close to being back to 100 percent.

The head football coach for the Missouri Tigers Eliah Drinkwitz spoke with reporters yesterday and addressed the halftime brawl with Florida this past weekend.

Coach Drinkwitz said actions have consequences and we are dealing with those consequences now.

Missouri has a bye week and will be without 3 players in the first half of the game next Saturday against Georgia due to the suspensions.
