Last night the Mexico Bulldogs Basketball Teams played against one of their biggest rivals the Fulton Hornets for Winter Warming and Senior Night at the Mexico High School Sports Complex.
The Mexico Girls kicked things off by mounting a huge comeback, defeating Fulton 44-38. The Lady Bulldogs trailed the entire game until the final minutes of the fourth quarter and improved to 13-3 overall and 5-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
In a heartbreaking loss the Mexico Bulldogs Boys were upset by the Fulton Hornets 64-61. It was a back and forth physical contest between the 2 bitter rivals all night. The Mexico Boys are now 14-2 on the season and 3-1 in the NCMC.
The night culminated with the crowning of Keeley DiBlasi as this year’s Mr. Bulldog. He is the son of Eric and Leslie DiBlasi. Keeley has been a member of the MHS Football and track teams. He is also involved in band, and is a member of National Honor Society.
