The executive team of Noble Health met with community leaders and citizens tonight (Wednesday) in Mexico to get an idea of what services were most important to the community as Noble Health prepares to take ownership of SSM Health St. Mary’s Audrain.
Improving the reputation of the hospital, improved services in the Emergency Department and streamlined billing processes were some of the topics of discussion from those in attendance.
The new CEO of Noble Health Audrain, Amy O’Brien of Burlington, Iowa was introduced and explained why she is excited for the opportunity to come to Mexico.
O’Brien will begin her duties on Monday, February 15.
Transfer of ownership of the hospital from SSM Heath to Noble Health will happen March 15th at midnight with Noble Health in control as of March 16th.
Also, it was announced that Dr. Joseph Corrado will be joining the Board of Noble Health Audrain.
In other physician news, nine of ten physicians that are under contract to SSM have signed contracts with Noble and the last one is due to sign soon.
Two new physicians with ties to Mexico will be setting up an independent family practice clinic in partnership with Noble Health by August 1st.
Other town hall meetings are planned in Montgomery City on February 23, Auxvasse on February 24, Wellsville March 2, Vandalia March 3, Perry on March 9, Paris on March 10, and in Mexico again on March 23.
