The Community R6 Lady Trojans Basketball Team notched another win on the season last (Thursday) night defeating Cairo 61-43.
Coach Bob Curtis says defensively his team looked ready for the playoffs in this conference match-up.
Brianna Beamer led the way with 15 points, Alexis Welch scored a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. And it was Sarah Angel finishing with 10 points.
The Lady Trojans are now 18-1 on the season and remain undefeated in the conference and next play on Saturday in New Franklin.
The 10th ranked Missouri Tigers Men’s Basketball Team fell on the road at Ole Miss 80-59 last (Wednesday) night.
Redshirt senior Dru Smith led Mizzou with 17 points, 3 assists and three steals.
The Tigers suffered just their fourth loss of the season and fell to 13-4 overall.
Up next Mizzou returns home on Saturday to face the Arkansas Razorbacks with a 3pm tip.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had no issues with his toe surgery that took place yesterday (Wednesday).
According to the NFL Network Dr. Robert Anderson performed the surgery on Mahomes troubled turf toe.
Patrick is now set for some rehab, which is likely to take several months, however he is expected to make a full recovery.
