The Mexico Bulldogs Boys and Girls Basketball Teams turned up the heat with conference wins over the Marshall Owls.
The Mexico Girls would come from behind to beat the Marshall Lady Owls 49-43.
The Lady Bulldogs saw a narrow 19-17 halftime lead evaporate in the third quarter.
Marshall would outscore Mexico 11-0 in the third.
The Lady Bulldogs offense turned it up in the fourth outscoring Marshall 30-15.
Riley Blevins and Mya Miller put up 14 points each as Mexico improved to 14-3 overall and pushed their record to 6-0 in the NCMC.
The 9th ranked Class 5 Mexico Bulldogs Boys doubled up the Marshall Boys 62-32.
Mexico put an end to a 2 game losing streak and got out of the gates early on Marshall with a 7-0 run in the first quarter.
Isaiah Reams led all scorers with 20 points and drained 4-three pointers in the game.
Drew Blevins also got into double digits for the Bulldogs scoring 11.
Mexico improved to 15-3 on the season and 4-1 in the NCMC.
It will be a quick turnaround for the Mexico Boys as they are on the road at Hannibal tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.
