The president and former treasurer of the Fulton Firefighter’s union is arrested and accused of stealing.
According to online court records, 47-year old Scott Peterson of Fulton has been charged with the Class D felony of stealing of $750 or more.
Fulton Police requested the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigate the case and they discovered that the Fulton Professional Firefighters – Local 2945 had suffered a significant financial loss as a direct result of embezzlement.
The Boone County Prosecutor is acting as the court-appointed special prosecutor and filed the charge in Callaway County Circuit Court today (Wednesday).
Peterson is scheduled to appear in court April 9th.
