KXEO Sports Report 3/9/21

The Mexico Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team will travel to Kearney for the 1st round of the Sectional playoffs tonight (Tuesday).

Mexico comes into the game with a record of 21-3, Kearney is 13-8.

KXEO will be broadcasting the game with a 5:45 pregame that will feature an interview with Mexico Head Coach Darren Pappas and a 6pm tip.

The game will also be streaming on KXEO.com.

The first ever appearance for a Mexico High School Girl Wrestler at the State Tournament will take place this (Tuesday) morning.

The competition starts at 9:30 this (Thursday) morning in Independence, Missouri at the Cable Dahmer Arena.

Mexico’s Katie Bowen will be representing the Bulldogs at the State Tournament and will be one of the first matches up.

The matches will be available at mshaa.tv and KXEO will bring you updates as they become available.

The St. Louis Blues lost 3-2 in overtime to the San Jose Sharks on the road last (Monday) night.

Vladimir Tarasenko had an assist for the Blues in his second game of the season.

He missed the first 24 games after having surgery on his left shoulder.

St. Louis returns home on Friday when they face the Vegas Golden Knights.

In Spring Training Baseball yesterday (Monday) the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins played to a 7-7 tie.

The Kansas City Royals blasted the Oakland Athletics 10-3.
