Two COVID-19 vaccination clinics sponsored by the Audrain County Health Department are coming up this week.
Tomorrow (Thursday) the clinic will be in Vandalia at the Eastern Missouri YMCA from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and on Friday the clinic will be at the Audrain County Health Department at the same times.
At tomorrow’s (Thursday’s) clinic in Vandalia, they will accept walk-ins.
The health department also updated information regarding the now paused Johnson & Johnson vaccine: the health department inoculated 14 people with the J&J vaccine and has contacted all 14 to warn of possible side effects.
6.8 million doses of the J&J vaccine have been administered in the U.S. and has been halted after 6 women developed severe blood clotting issues following their vaccination.
The second-dose clinic for those who attended the April 6th mass vaccination clinic at the Mexico YMCA will receive their second shot at the Y on April 27th.
