The Mexico Senior Center is allowing members back into the building today for the first time since closing in door activities in mid-march a year ago.
Mexico Senior Center Board President Fred West says they are reopened congregate lunches and they are going full blast.
Curbside meals will continue to be offered as well.
A restrictive abortion bill is now signed into law by Missouri Governor Mike Parson. The Audrain County Health Department reports no new cases of COVID-19 as of 11 this morning. According to the health department 277 county residents have been tested for COVID-19. 2 cases have been confirmed as positive, with 1 case that remains active and 1 recovery. 270 cases testing negative, and 5 test results are pending.
Distracted driving remains one of the biggest issues the Missouri Highway Patrol sees on the road. Colonel Sandra Karsten Superintendent of the highway patrol says texting and driving is becoming a common thing. In 2017 the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to 927 fatal crashes.
