The Dollar General at 600 West Jackson in Mexico is getting a remodel according to the chain’s home office.
The store will close next week so that work can begin.
When complete, the store will have an expanded frozen and refrigerated foods section and fresh fruit and produce.
According to Dollar General, their fresh fruit and produce began being offered in select stores in 2003 and is now in more than 1,100 stores with 700 more stores set to begin offering produce this year.
The remodel will also include an expanded party preparation selection and new home decor items.
