Two college students from Mexico are hoping history repeats itself during this year’s Miss Missouri Scholarship Pageant.
Twenty-six years ago, Mexicoan Erin Phillips won the Miss Missouri crown and Sarah Kasubke and Callie Cox hope to follow in her footsteps this year.
Sarah is the daughter of Bruce and Mary Ann Kasubke and is an elementary education student at William Woods University.
Her talent is vocal performance and she is currently Miss West Saint Louis.
Callie is the daughter of Jamie and Lisa Cox of Martinsburg, formerly of Mexico, and is currently Miss Zona Rosa.
Callie is pursuing a degree in theatre at Mizzou.
She will perform a jazz vocal for her talent at this year’s pageant, held at MMA June 16-19.
