No injuries or road blockage being reported after a Norfolk Southern train derailed in Monroe County this (Thursday) afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it happened about a mile east of Madison just after 1:30 when 8 train cars loaded with vehicles derailed for an unknown reason.
The train was traveling from Moberly to Decatur, Illinois.
Norfolk Southern personnel and contractors are assessing the damage.
