Mark Twain Lake Levels Rise Due To Recent Rains

Recent rains are causing the water level at Mark Twain Lake to rise rapidly.

According to the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, normal lake level is 606.0 feet above sea level, by Thursday it’s expected to rise to 621 feet.

Floating and submerged debris is more likely to be encountered now.

Major boat launch and campgrounds remain open for now, but some areas and facilities are temporarily closed, including:
Spalding Beach,
Indian Creek Beach,
Mark Twain State Park Beach,
Joanna Trail,
Lick Creek Trail, and
Hunter-Fishermen Accesses 11, 20, 61, & 30.
