Governor Mike Parson is requesting FEMA participate in preliminary damage assessments in 17 counties hit by recent storms and flooding.
Once the request is approved, assessments can begin in Boone, Callaway, Cooper, Howard, Lincoln, Moniteau and Montgomery counties along with others.
More counties are likely to be added as more damage is documented locally from the storms that moved through between June 19th and July 1st.
