Back-To School Tax Holiday In Missouri Starts Friday

Missouri’s back-to-school sales tax holiday starts tomorrow (Friday) and runs through Sunday at midnight.

When it comes to school supplies, it includes things like textbooks, notebooks and backpacks that do not exceed fifty dollars.

For larger items, calculators up to one hundred fifty dollars are tax-free.

Personal computers up to fifteen hundred dollars and computer software up to three hundred fifty dollars are tax-free as well.

Clothing up to one hundred is tax-free, including footwear, however not accessories.

No matter where you shop in Missouri, state taxes will be waived on those back-to-school items.

Some city and county taxes could still apply in jurisdictions that have opted out of the tax holiday.
