Governor Parson Requests Disaster Declaration For June Storm Damage

Governor Mike Parson is asking FEMA for a federal disaster declaration for June storm damage in Missouri.

Parson is requesting the declaration for 21 counties, including Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cooper, Howard, Lincoln, Moniteau, Montgomery, and Ralls.

Damage assessments last month estimated damages at ten million dollars and according to Missouri’s 2010 census data, FEMA determined the state’s assistance can be up to nearly 9.3 million dollars.
