The red hot St. Louis Cardinals extended their winning streak to 11 last (Wednesday) night with a 10-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Tyler O’Neill and Paul Goldschmidt each hammered 2-run home runs.
This is the Cardinals first 11-game winning streak since August 9th-19th, 2001 and they have extended their lead for the second Wild Card spot to 4 and 1/2 games against all other challengers.
The Cardinals will go for the series sweep in Milwaukee this afternoon with a 1:10 first pitch.
The series finale between the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Indians yesterday (Wednesday) has been postponed due to inclement weather and will be made up on Monday, with a 12:10 start at Progressive Field.
