The St. Louis Cardinals had their historic 17 game winning streak come to an end last (Wednesday) after losing to the Milwaukee Brewers 4-0 at Busch Stadium.
The 17 game winning streak was longest in Cardinals franchise history and the longest single-season streak in the National League since the 1935 Chicago Cubs.
The Redbirds will go for the series win against the Brewers this afternoon with a 12:15 first pitch.
Kansas City’s slugger Salvador Perez hit his 48th home run of the season last (Wednesday) night as the Royals defeated the Cleveland Indians 10-5 at the K.
Salvy’s Major League-leading 48th home run moved into a tie with Jorge Soler’s 2019 franchise record.
Perez did exit the game two innings later with a right ankle sprain.
He says will be ready to play today or this weekend, will put some tape on it, take some pills and see what happens.
