The Mexico Lady Bulldogs have advanced in the first round of Districts in softball defeating the Centralia Lady Panthers 14-9 in Mexico tonight (Tuesday).
Mexico would jump out to a quick start putting up a six run first inning, including a 3 run home run from senior Ruby Haefling.
She would finish the night with 4 RBI.
Mexico would add 3 runs in the 2nd and third and led 12-3.
Mexico’s Jordyn Thurman helped her cause with a solo home run in the 5th inning.
Jordyn also pitched a complete game striking out 6.
Riley Thurman was 3 for 5.
Abby Bellamy put up a single and a double on a 2 hit night.
Taylor DeMint had 2 hits.
Lexi Willer had 2 singles.
Karlie Sefrit put up 3 singles and 2 RBI.
The 5th seed Mexico will play the number 1 seed Hallsville Indians tomorrow (Wednesday) in Fulton at 4:30.
