Mexico freshman golfer Aidan Knifpel finished in 18th place at the State golf tournament.
Aidan shot an 82 on the day.
Mexico High School Golf Coach Timothy Schoonover says Aidan was very solid at his first State tournament and considering the weather conditions being so brutal he was very steady and stayed within himself.
Knipfel competed on Monday and yesterday (Tuesday) at the Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington.
The Mexico Bulldogs Baseball Team lost 2-1 to the Macon Tigers in the District semifinals last (Tuesday) night held in Moberly.
Bulldogs ace Josh Forbis pitched 6 innings and recorded 4 strikeouts and issued 1 walk.
Mexico stranded the tying run at third base and the go ahead run at 2nd in the 7th inning.
Andrew Runge had 2 hits and the lone RBI and Forbis had 1 hit as well.
The Bulldogs finish the season with an 11-12 record.
Macon will now face the Centralia Panthers in the District championship game tonight at 5pm.
The 4th seeded Panthers upset the number 1 seed in the bracket Kirksville 8-1 last night.

The Community R6 Trojans Baseball Team has advanced to a District championship game after shutting out Cairo 2-0 yesterday (Tuesday).
The Trojans face Wellsville-Middletown for the Class 1 District 12 championship today (Wednesday) at noon.
North Callaway Baseball faces Father Tolton at 4 in the Class 3 District 8 championship game.
The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2 at Busch Stadium last (Tuesday) night. Nolan Arenado extended his streak hitting a home run in his fourth consecutive game.
In doing so, Arenado became the first St. Louis third baseman to homer in four straight games since Scott Rolen did so in 2002.
The Kansas City Royals shut out the Milwaukee Brewers 2-0 at Kaufman Stadium.
