The semifinals of the high school football playoffs will be taking place today (Saturday).

The Mexico Bulldogs will try to make school history and punch their ticket to their first State championship game when they travel to St. Mary’s to play the Dragons in the Class 3 semis.


That game has a 1:20 pregame and a 2pm kickoff and will be broadcast on Mix Country 96-95.7 FM and AM 1340 KXEO and streaming on KXEO.com.

In the Class 1 semifinal Hayti travels to Marceline.

That has a 1pm start.

The Class 4 semifinal has the Hannibal Pirates on the road against North County High School with a 1pm kick.


The Missouri Tigers football team lost the Battle Line Rivalry game to the Arkansas Razorbacks 34-17 on the road yesterday (Saturday).

The loss snaps Mizzou’s five game win streak over Arkansas, and is only the 2nd loss to the Razorbacks as members of the SEC.

The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team could not overcome a slow start at Mizzou Arena last (Friday) night falling to Wichita State 61-55.

Mizzou was led by 10 points from Jarron Coleman who also tallied 4 assists and 4 rebounds.

Up next the Mizzou men have a quick turnaround with a matchup against Paul Quinn College on Monday night at 7.

The St. Louis Blues were defeated in overtime 3-2 by the Chicago Blackhawks at the United center in Chicago last (Friday) night.

The Blues lost for the seventh time in nine games.
