The Mexico Lady Bulldogs have advanced to the championship game of the Montgomery County tournament after defeating the New Haven Lady Shamrocks 43-35 tonight (Wednesday) at the Montgomery County High School.
It was a close ball game through out.
Mexico and New Haven were tied at 14 at half time.
Mya Miller turned it on in the second half with 9 points.
She would finish the game with 11.
Riley Thurman put up a double digit performance with 11.
Freshman Claire Hudson had 8 points and two three pointers.
Lexi Willer and Jordyn Thurman each finished with 5 respectively.
Taylor Demint had 2 points.
Rounding out the scoring book was Capri’Ona Fountain who was 1 for 2 from the free throw line.
The Mexico Lady Bulldogs improved to 2-1 on the season and will play either Montgomery County or Herman in the championship game on Saturday, December 4th at 4:30pm.
