On Friday, February 11, families will check in at Barnard Hall, MMA’s academic building, to spend the morning in classes with their cadets, meeting teachers and learning about curriculum. In the afternoon, parents may sign up for conferences with faculty and company leadership advisors to discuss their cadet’s performance, successes, and growth opportunities.

On Friday evening, families and Colonels fans are invited to join the corps of cadets to watch the Colonels varsity and junior varsity basketball games at South Callaway High School (10135 State Hwy C, Mokane, MO 65059).

On Saturday, February 12, an Admissions Open House will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for prospective families to learn more about the Academy’s education for middle school and high school, plus summer camps.

At 10:35 a.m., the Passing Through Ceremony and Battalion Review will be held at the Alain M. Garcia Field House. The Passing Through Ceremony marks new cadets’ official promotion to the MMA Corps of Cadets. All MMA families and friends are invited to attend. Parents of new cadets who have completed Maroon Phase requirements will present their hat brass to them.

In the afternoon, parents are invited to conduct an inspection of their cadet’s room and learn about the daily standards that each cadet is responsible for.

On Saturday evening, cadets, dates and families will enjoy the Valentine Ball, a prom-like formal dance sponsored by the junior class. Following dinner, a Grand March formally opens the ball. Later, a ceremony takes place to crown the Valentine Ball Queen.
