Mexico Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team Ties School Record For Most Wins To Start A Season Without A Loss

The Mexico Bulldogs basketball team tied a school record tonight (Thursday) with most wins to start a season without a loss after defeating the Moberly Spartans on the road 65-48.

Mexico is now 19-0 and tied the 2010-2011 team for best start to a season.

Four Bulldogs players reached double digits.

Isaiah Reams led the way with 21 points. Jordan Shelton chipped in 19 points with 17 of the points coming in the second half.

Michael White had 12 points.

And Daeye Miller finished with 11 points, 4 blocks and multiple rebounds.

The Bulldogs also pushed their North Central Missouri Conference record to 8-0.

Mexico will next face St. Elizabeth in a game that will be played at the Mexico Middle School tomorrow (Friday) night and the team could set the school record for most wins to start a season with a victory.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs fell to the Moberly Lady Spartans 67-45.

Mya Miller led her team with 17 points.

Riley Thurman nailed 3-three pointers and finished with 13 points.

The Mexico girls fell to 12-8 overall and 5-2 in the NCMC.

It will be a quick turnaround for the Mexico Lady Bulldogs as they will play Capital City tomorrow (Friday) at the Mexico Middle School.
