Several Mexico Bulldogs youth wrestlers are sporting hardware after competing at the State Wrestling Tournament in Cape Girardeau over the weekend.

Travis Shramek took 1st place, in the 12U, heavyweight division.

Evan Blair recorded a 2nd place finish in 14U 75 pound division.

Logan Hilderman put up a 2nd place finish in 12U, 65pound weight class.

Trevor Cole a third place finish in the 12U, 65# division.

And it was Riley Stuart with a 5th place finish in the 14U girls, 130# weight class.

Despite a victory over number 1 overall seed South Carolina, the Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team was not selected for the NCAA Tournament.

The Tigers finished the regular season with a record of 18-12.

The Mizzou women automatically qualified for the WNIT, as the highest-finishing SEC team not selected by the NCAA.

The bracket has not yet been announced, however first round games will played this week Wednesday through Saturday.

The St. Louis Blues lost 4-3 in overtime last (Sunday) night to the Winnipeg Jets at the Enterprise Center.

Vladimir Tarasenko had a goal and 2 assists, Braden Schenn had a goal and an assists, and Jordan Binnington made 33 saves for St. Louis.
