One Dead In Shooting At Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade And Rally

Police are continuing to investigate after one person died and at least 21 people were injured in a shooting on Wednesday, following the Chiefs Super Bowl parade and rally.
Three people are in custody in connection to the shooting.
Shortly after the rally concluded, there were shots fired west of Union Station, according to Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves.
According to the Kansas City Star and the Associated Press, DJ Lisa Lopez was killed in the shooting.
Eight victims had immediately life-threatening injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
Stephanie Meyer, senior vice president of nursing at Children’s Mercy, said the hospital treated 11 children ages 6 to 15.
Nine of the children had gunshot wounds.
Meyer said all of the children are expected to make a full recovery.

One person is dead and nine others have injuries following a shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade and rally Wednesday morning according to reports from NBC News.
In addition to the person who was killed, three were in critical condition, five others were in serious condition and one person had non-life threatening injuries.
Kansas City Police said they took two armed suspects into custody for investigation.
Governor Mike Parson and First Lady Teresa Parson were in attendance. In a tweet, Parson’s office said the governor and his wife are safe and secure.
