A traffic stop in Mexico last (Wednesday) night ends with a Mexico man in jail.
Mexico Public Safety officers stopped 33-year old Christopher S. Welch in the 600 block of Muldrow and as officers were talking to him, Welch drove off.
A block from the initial stop, Welch lost control of his vehicle, hit a stop sign, some landscaping and a decorative fence before being taken into custody.
He was taken to the Audrain County Jail for resisting arrest and careless and imprudent driving.
Welch was also wanted on an unrelated incident and details on that have been forwarded to the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney.
