The Mexico girls soccer team lost 8-0 to the Kirksville Tigers on the road last night (Wednesday) in their North Central Missouri Conference opener.
Mexico Head Coach Haley Shafer says her team got behind early and struggled to get back into the game with the weather being cold and rainy.
Lady Bulldogs goalie Tessa Haefling had 10 saves in the game.
The Mizzou baseball team dominated SIUE with a 12-2 victory in 7 innings yesterday (Wednesday).
The Tigers drove in 12 runs in a 10-run, 7th inning.
Mizzou improved to 15-7 on the season.
The St. Louis Cardinals offense went crazy in Albert Pujols’ first game back with the team beating the Washington Nationals 29-8 in Spring Training yesterday (Wednesday).
Pujols went 1 for 3 in his Grapefruit League debut.
Eight players had multiple hits for the Redbirds and 8 players drove in multiple runs.
Paul DeJong, Paul Goldschmidt, and Yadier Molina hit the only home runs for the Cardinals.
St. Louis is back in action tonight (Thursday) at 5:30 when they play the Miami Marlins.

In hockey last (Wednesday) night the St. Louis Blues defeated the Vancouver Canucks 4-3.
