The Community R6 Coaches recognized the fall softball players at the athletic banquet Thursday night.
The first to be recognized were those who received conference and district honors. Junior Sarah Angel received the MVP award in the CAC conference. She was also second-team all region. Sophomore Brooklynn Glasgow received a first-place all-district honor and a CAC team honor for catching. Also receiving CAC honors were Shelby Clark, Alexis Welch, and Olivia Kuda.
Special coaches awards included:
– Defensive Player of the Year: Brooklynn Glasgow
– Offensive Player of the Year: Sarah Angel
– Pitching Ace: Shelby Clark
– Rookie of the Year: Tied, Rylee Rafferty and Kate Robnett
– Junior Varsity Player of the Year: Kylie Brooks
– Team Spirit Award: Taylor Johnson

Dylan Hoyt and Callie Jennings were recognized Thursday night at the Community R6 Athletic Banquet for their contributions during the cross country season. As a team of two, the Trojans showed their dedication to the sport all season long.
Jennings received the mental toughness award. Hoyt received the record-setter award as he not only tied, but beat the school record at the Centralia meet in a time of 17:36:5.
