The number of families requesting supplemental food from the Laura Miller George Help Center in Mexico is increasing while the amount of food from the Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri has decreased.
The May fourteenth Letter Carriers Food Drive locally benefited the Help Center according to Executive Director Phil Iman.
Sales at the Help Center’s thrift store have increased as well as more people try to make their money stretch further.
