The St. Louis Cardinals ended a two game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Busch Stadium last (Friday) night.

Paul Goldschmidt hit a two-run home run.

Goldy extended his hitting streak to 18 games and his on-base streak to 32 games.

The Kansas City Royals lost 10-7 to the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.

The Royals 21-year-old phenom Bobby Witt Jr. was a double shy of the cycle. He hit his sixth home run of the season.

The St. Louis Blues were eliminated from the NHL playoffs last (Friday) night in a 3-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

Darren Helm scored with 5.6 seconds remaining in the third period to give Colorado the victory.

The Avalanche won the best-of-seven series 4-2 and advanced to the conference finals for the first time since 2002.

They will face the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 on Tuesday.
