KXEO Sports Report 6/13/22

The St. Louis Cardinals were unable to complete a series sweep against the Cincinnati Reds losing 7-6 yesterday (Monday) at Busch Stadium.

Albert Pujols provided a brief jolt for the Cardinals with an RBI double to tie the game 4-4 in the fifth.

It was the 1,375th career extra-base hit for Albert, leaving him two shy of Stan Musial for third most in Major League Baseball history.

The Kansas City Royals lost 10-7 to the Baltimore Orioles at the K. Royals slugger Bobby Witt Jr. hit his eighth home run of the season.

Yesterday (Sunday) also marked Witt’s third career three-hit game.

Former Kansas City Chiefs star receiver, Tyreek Hill was in Columbia yesterday (Sunday) hosting his youth football camp.

The camp was held at Cosmo Park and had a few hundred kids attending.

Local coaches ran football drills and got to work with Tyreek to make the camp possible.

Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins in March for a total of five draft picks including three in the recent 2022 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs and Hill failed to come to terms on a contract extension prompting the organization to move on from the speedy all-pro receiver.

Game five of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors takes place tonight (Monday).

The series is all tied up at two games apiece.
